Mott MacDonald has been providing the detailed traffic signal
junction design for four junctions along the Northern Perimeter
Road.
Project delivery includes the following:
- Positioning of vehicle detection equipment
- Establishment of a communications link to the existing UTC
network
- Signal modelling of the four junctions
- Provision of traffic signal controller specification for each
junction
- Creation of a scope of works to be undertaken by the
contractor
- Attendance at factory acceptance tests and site acceptance
tests
- Attendance at commissioning on behalf of BAA
- Incorporation of the four junctions into the current UTC/SCOOT
system
- Validation of SCOOT data, traffic signal controller operations
and timings
